Canadian Tire Motorsports Park - MX-5 Cup Rounds 9 & 10

This weekend in Canada marked a big step up for me. CTMP has always been good to me—I scored my best result of P6 here last year—and I was eager to build on that.

With no prior testing, the goal heading into practice was to get up to speed quickly, establish myself as a Top 10 driver, and find potential partners to work with.

Friday:
In Practice 1, we hit the ground running and ended the session inside the Top 10—an encouraging start to the weekend.

Practice 2, however, was cut short by a red flag, and a slow tire leak forced me to pull in early. Between both issues, we weren’t able to capitalize on track time and ended the session at the bottom of the charts.

Saturday:
Qualifying was a huge highlight—we executed well and grabbed P6, my best qualifying effort yet! That checked off our second goal of the weekend: Top 8 in qualifying.

Starting Race 1 from the third row, the goal was a Top 10 finish. But in Turn 5 on Lap 1, we got hit and caught in a three-wide situation that shuffled us back. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to recover and finished P16.

Sunday:
Starting P8 for Race 2, I was determined to bounce back.
We got shuffled back early again, but I fought my way into the lead pack and recovered to P12, finishing as the Top Female Finishing Female.

This weekend was a new chapter for me—starting near the front gave me a firsthand look at what it takes to race at the sharp end. My pace has improved, and as I continue to qualify up front, I know the race craft, experience, and trust with other frontrunners will continue to grow.

We’ve found the speed—but in this series, speed alone isn’t enough. This was a weekend of growth, valuable lessons, and forward momentum.

I have work to do before VIR, and I’m ready to come back stronger and more prepared than ever.

Huge thank you to my amazing partners:
Collision Careers, Sherri Coble, Erin Vogel, Coble Commercial Properties, AE Victory Racing, Shift Up Now, and Women in Motorsports NA for making this all possible.

On to VIRginia International Raceway!
