Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta- MX-5 Cup Rounds 13 & 14
This was the final race weekend of the 2025 Mazda MX-5 Cup season — my second year in the series coming to a close. It’s been a year full of growth and lessons that have really sharpened my skills as a driver in the IMSA paddock.
Wednesday’s practice sessions were all about fine-tuning my lines and finding a good drafting partner for qualifying.
On Thursday, we aimed to put down a strong lap in qualifying, but a red flag cut the session short, leaving me to start P16 for Race 1.
When the green flag dropped, I stayed with the lead pack and worked my way forward through some tight battles. A mid-race caution bunched the field back up, and after a few back-and-forth position changes, I crossed the line in P14. A penalty ahead bumped me to P13, continuing my streak as the top-finishing female in the field.
Race 2 on Friday kicked off early Saturday morning under sunny skies. I started P20 and made quick progress, climbing up to P16 within the first few laps. About 15 minutes in, a car spun ahead of me through the esses, and while I managed to avoid major contact, it did cause some light damage to the right front.
After a long cleanup, we went back to green with about 19 minutes to go, and I pushed forward into the top 10. A late caution set up a one-lap shootout to the finish, and after some tight racing through the final corners, I crossed the line P12, once again the top-finishing female. That result also secured 12th in the championship standings to close out my sophomore Mazda MX-5 Cup season.
This season reminded me how much progress can happen when you stay patient, hungry, and willing to learn. Every race, every challenge, and every lap added something new to my development as a driver. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and beyond grateful for the people and partners who make this journey possible.
None of it would have been possible without the incredible support from my partners - Coble Commercial Properties, Collision Careers, AE Victory Racing, Shift Up Now, the Shift Up Now Foundation, and everyone who’s believed in me this season.
Next up, Martinsville!
